We will remain open to provide all dental care to our patient’s.
Cork Dental Care will remain open as an essential service at level 5 restrictions as per government instructions. Our prevention of contamination procedures are equipped with dealing with the spread of viruses. All routine appointments will go ahead as scheduled. If you feel the need to reschedule your appointment, please contact us at least 48 working hours before your appointment.
What measures have we taken to ensure patient and staff safety?
Our staff now wear KN-95 rated surgical masks to help prevent contamination between patients and staff. This rating has a minimum filtration rate of 95%.
We will pre rinse patients’ mouths where necessary with a solution containing hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide is an effective disinfectant and helps kill most viruses and bacteria.
Our treatment rooms and reception area are fitted with filtration systems capable of filtering harmful molecules even smaller than coronaviruses. This will help keep the air clean for all patients visiting us.
We have extended treatment times to allow longer in between appointments to ensure a thorough disinfecting of treatment rooms is carried out.
We have staged appointment times to prevent too many people waiting in reception at one given time to ensure social distancing within the reception area is adhered to.
There are many hand sanitisers placed in all rooms in our practice to ensure hand hygiene is followed.
We have installed a perspex screen at reception, with a small opening for card transactions. Each time a transaction is made, the desk and surrounding areas will be disinfected. We ask all patients to use debit/credit cards from now on.
Paper usage will be cut to virtually zero. All of our medical forms now have been integrated on an iPad that is disinfected each time it is touched. Receipts and other documents can now be emailed directly to patients to avoid contact.
Prior to the appointment itself, patients’ temperature will be taken with a contact free thermometer.
